About ROBO RUSH


ROBO RUSH is my entry for the 2020 epic games Mega Jam.  ROBO RUSH a 3D platformer mixed with light combat. The theme of the Mega Jam is tied into the story of the game. When you first start the game a cutscene appears introducing you to the story of the robot hero who is tasked with saving a planet that was in the process of being terraformed.  Your objective is to gather all the parts to fix the terraforming nodes.   The parts can be found at the end of each level,  once you find the part you're automatically brought back to Mission Control and the portal for the next map will be unlocked.  Once all three parts are collected you win the game.

 All of the Assets in the game were made by me. The 3D models were created using blender and most of the materials were made in Unreal Engine.  The sound effects were made using household objects and Adobe Audition.   Attempting to make everything in such a short time was a really fun challenge and it  pushed me to come up with creative solutions in order to meet my deadline. 

 At the end of it all I'm very happy with how my project turned out, even though there are a few areas I wish I could have improved upon. I feel like it was a very strong submission for my first game jam and  I am looking forward to entering more game jams so I can sharpen my skills as a game developer.
